What a LOVELY BLUE EYES You Have!

So you do want to possess blue colored eyes without wearing those colored contact lenses because you are tired of wearing it?

Then, your wish is granted.

I mean, your wish WAS granted a few years ago.

Now you may ask me, how the heck did I know?

An interesting trivia I could share to you is that "All babies were born with blue eyes."

Yes, it is true and it has something to do with the melanin.

Melanin is a pigment which gives color to the skin, hair and eyes. It provides a lot of benefits. Aside for protecting us from the ultraviolet rays of the sun, it also serves as a natural sunscreen (that is why the more melanin you have in the body, the lesser you tend to get sunburn).

Then how come you don’t even have blue eyes when you look in the mirror?

It’s because of the genes, silly! The color of your eyes still depends on the genes you get from your parents. The melanin in a newborn’s eyes often needs time after birth to be fully deposited or to be darkened by exposure to ultraviolet light, later revealing the baby’s true eye color.
