For me it is. Of course we know that when we speak up of diary, it is where you usually put up stories or happenings you are craving to talk about.
Who says that diaries are for the teens or for the girly girls only? I have a male friend who keeps one even up to now. Everytime I go over with the entries of my e-diary, it doesn't fail to amuse me though I've already read it a couple of times. It feels so good going over your past mistakes, your own childish acts, the grammar that you usually thought was right was in reality wrong, and the list just goes on.
Keeping a diary brings back a lot of memories. It can also be a tool to evaluate yourself without being subjective. It works for me.
It serves as my absorber of extreme emotions and a neutralizer - too much happiness (I guess excitement would be appropriate to describe it) and too much anger which in a moment subsides. In my diary, I can spill anything I want without delimiting myself. It is where I can say what I want without the fear of being criticized and tell the even the most absurd things which I can ever imagine.
